Located in the city of Indio, Ca is this beautiful resort course with sensational 360° Mountain View’s. Offering 2 championship 18 hole courses (North/ South) this was another Coachella valley treat. We played the north course, which stands just over 7,000 yards plying as a Par 72.
Whenever I think desert golf I see wide fairways and plenty of open space. This was not what we expected! Tight fairways and green side bunkers make shot shaping and ball control very key to scoring out here. The greens rolled nice and were very receptive when trying to attack pins. With many fairway and green side bunkers there is very little room to miss. Also lots of elevated and downhill greens force adjusted numbers on every approach shot.
Be sure to bring your short game or this can make for a longgg day on the course. Driver, flip of a wedge and a few Puttz, how hard can it be?! Vast Mountain View’s meet you at every turn. Looking at the snow capped mountains towards Palm Springs or the sandy mountains that fade into Joshua Tree every view is worth capturing.
We really enjoyed this. If you are out in the valley and looking for a good “bang for your buck” this is a staple. Great golf, impeccable views and incredible weather makes this course no doubt, A HIDDEN GEM!!
