Golfing at Copper Rock Golf Course was nothing short of an adventure. Located in the scenic desert landscape of Hurricane, Utah, this course not only presents a fair challenge for golfers of all skill levels but also offers views that will leave you in awe. From the first tee, I knew this course was unique, with its harmonious blend of challenging holes, stunning desert backdrops, and meticulously maintained greens.
The front nine eases you into the course’s complexities, with wide fairways that allow you to go for power. My favorite was Hole 4, a par 5 with a slight dogleg that tempted me to cut corners with a risky shot. On the back nine, things really start to heat up! Hole 13 was both beautiful and demanding, with its strategic bunkers and slightly elevated green. Each hole feels unique, thanks to the creative layout and the elevation changes that bring out Copper Rock’s distinctive character.
Beyond the game itself, Copper Rock’s desert scenery makes the experience even more immersive. The red rock cliffs, sprawling blue skies, and contrasting lush green fairways feel like a postcard come to life. The club facilities are top-notch too, with friendly staff, a pro shop stocked with everything a golfer could need, and a lovely restaurant to relax after the round.
After a day on this unforgettable course, I felt invigorated, having played in one of the most stunning settings I’ve ever experienced. Copper Rock Golf Course deserves a spot on every golfer’s bucket list.
