Why Sand Hollow's Championship Course is a Must-Play for Golfers Everywhere 🌄 | My Round Recap

Playing Sand Hollow’s Championship Course was more than just a round of golf; it was an experience that combined breathtaking scenery with a challenging layout that left a lasting impression. Set against Utah's vivid red rock backdrop, this course is both beautiful and demanding – a true test for any golfer.

From the moment I stepped onto the first tee, I was in awe. The opening holes warm you up with wide fairways and forgiving rough, but don’t let that lull you into a false sense of security. As you progress, the course introduces more complexity, with tricky greens and forced carries that make accuracy essential. Sand Hollow’s design blends so well into the natural terrain that it feels like the course was carved out of the landscape itself.

The back nine is where the adventure really starts. Holes 12 through 15 took me along cliff edges with panoramic views of the surrounding red rock canyons, and I had to stop for photos more than once. The 12th hole was both thrilling and intimidating – a par 4 that has you teeing off over a canyon with a narrow landing area waiting for your best shot. It’s one of those iconic holes that, as a golfer, you live for.

The conditions were exceptional, with greens that rolled true and fairways that felt like carpets. What I loved most was how Sand Hollow caters to all levels – it’s challenging for low handicappers but still accessible for those just looking to enjoy the game in a stunning setting.

Playing at Sand Hollow felt like a bucket list experience, and I can’t wait to go back and tackle those cliff-side holes again. This is one course every golfer should add to their itinerary.
